My Story

I worked during the 90's as a professional fashion model represented by the Kim Dawson Modeling Agency in Dallas, Texas. To stay employed, I had to keep a lean physique. I worked out non-stop, running six days a week and spending countless hours in the gym lifting weights. This strict regimen got the job done and I averaged 400 runway shows a year.


In 2000, I retired from modeling to have children. Everything was going fine until I turned 40! My body went south. My hips measured at 40 inches and out of nowhere I got terrible skin—my face was blotchy and I had an uneven skin tone. I also had a "cottage cheese" look on my thighs. I wasn’t unhealthy or obese, but I could tell my body was slipping. I wanted to better myself. However, with a busy schedule, a husband and children I didn’t have the time or desire to sacrifice what I had during the peak of my modeling career. I wanted to improve my body, but at the same, I still wanted to enjoy food, my family and life in general. Fortunately, I crafted a plan that allowed me to achieve all of these things!
