Fashion Model

I have been a successful runway and print model for the Kim Dawson Agency and the Campbell Agency in Dallas, Texas for more than 18 years. Separately, I was a model for Ford in NYC, STARS in LA, and David & Lee in Chicago.

Charitable Involvement

After my son Stone's passing from Necrotizing Entero-Colitis (NEC) four months after birth, I founded The Stone D'Arcy Waddell Charitable Gift Fund. It funds various forms of research seeking a cure for NEC, which after insufficient lung function, is the number two killer of premature infants. In this process, I have worked very closely with the University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Dr. Barbara Warner. Dr. Warner is considered a top researcher and an expert in the field of NEC and works with physicians worldwide in her effort to eradicate this horrible disease. In conjunction with the University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, I have also donated funds to Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas on the premise that mothers' milk has been shown to increase a child’s immunity, which is key in prematurity to prevent a child from contracting NEC.

Stone Fund donations have been made to several institutions, including Love for Children, Early Childhood Intervention, The March of Dimes and the USSA (United Special Sportsman Alliance). USSA is an all-volunteer, Christian charity dedicated to granting critically ill and disabled youngsters and adults hunting and fishing adventures. Since their founding in 2000, they have made more than 3,800 such dreams come true. Being that no child should ever have to suffer debilitating pain, and no family should ever have to lose a child, I feel it is my duty to assist in every way that I can these families that are so courageous in their daily struggles to keep their children alive.

When not working with children’s programs, I have been directly involved in DIFFA (The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS). I have served as a volunteer (1991-00), Patron (2001-02) and Board member (2003-2006). During this time I worked to secure a public service announcement with a donation from the Charles Evans Hughes Memorial Foundation that was designed to increase awareness of HIV within the North Texas communities. This announcement ran on ABC (Channel 8) in Dallas-Ft. Worth. As Board Member, I co-chaired the Wreath collection in 2005.

PTA involvement

As my son Highland began attending Beaty Early Development School, I was asked to become a Beaty PTA board member. As part of my involvement, I founded The Assistance Fund for parents of tuition-based students at Beaty PISD.

Family Business

I am an Advisory Director to the James Polk Stone National Bank. Located in New Mexico, my great-grandfather founded our family bank which includes divisions in Roswell, Portales, Clovis, Hagerman, and Hobbs, New Mexico.
